How it works

When you adopt a mangrove through the Mangrovedopsi Foundation, you help restore vital coastal forests, support local communities, and contribute to long-term climate resilience. Your adoption connects you directly to a living tree and to the people caring for it.

Step-by-step: how to adopt a mangrove

1. Choose your adoption package. Decide whether you want to adopt one mangrove seedling as a Mangrove advocate or four seedlings as a Mangrove ambassador. Both options support the same species and care, with different adoption quantities.
2. Complete the online adoption form. Click on the “Adopt” button under your chosen package. You will be directed to a secure Google Form, where you can share your details for the certificate, tree tag, and follow-up communication.
3. We plant your mangrove seedlings. Our team in the field plants Rhizophora mucronata seedlings in carefully selected restoration areas, together with local communities who help care for the growing forest.
4. Receive your certificate and tree tag details. You receive a Mangrove Adopter Certificate, along with a Tree Tag that includes your name, the mangrove species, and the precise planting location (latitude and longitude) of your adopted seedlings.
5. Stay connected through our online database. As an adopter, you gain access to the Mangrove Adopter database on Google Drive, where you can find your certificate, photos, ceremony video, and monitoring reports that show how your mangroves are doing over time.

Every adoption brings us closer to healthier coastlines and thriving communities. Whether you adopt one mangrove or several, you are part of a hopeful, long-term restoration story.
